InfantSee Non-Profit Program Logo

InfantSee Non-Profit Program

The InfantSEE program gives infants the chance to see an optometrist for a comprehensive eye exam before they turn one year old. The doctor will check for eye alignment, muscle movement, unequal or large amounts of near/farsightedness, and any disorder that could affect the back of the eye. The American Optometric Association recommends the first eye exam at 6 months old.

You can read more about the InfantSEE program here.

Donating your used eyeglasses

Did you know that the Lion’s Club has an eyeglasses recycling program designed to help those in need?

Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low and middle-income countries lack access to basic eye care services. The Lions Recycle For Sight Program recognizes the urgent need for corrective lenses and collects usable glasses in our communities to restore them.

You can donate your old, usable glasses right here. We have a box to collect your old glasses at our office and they will be sent to the Lion’s Club recycling center for processing.

For more information contact Lions Clubs International Service Activities Division at (630) 571-5466 or gro.sbulcsnoil%40sessalgeye.
